1. Objetivos da aula

Ao final da aula, o aluno deverá ser capaz de:

Talking about sequence

Ensine o aluno a organizar a rotina:

7. Position of Adverbs of Frequency

Antes do verbo principal

I always drink coffee in the morning.
Eu sempre tomo café de manhã.

I usually work from home.
Eu geralmente trabalho de casa.

Eles raramente comem fora.


Depois do verbo To Be

I am always tired after work.
Eu estou sempre cansado depois do trabalho.

She is usually at home in the evening.
Ela geralmente está em casa à noite.

Ele frequentemente está atrasado.

Regra importante

Verb to be + adverb

She is always happy.

e não:

She always is happy.


Com verbos auxiliares

Quando temos um auxiliar, o advérbio geralmente fica depois do auxiliar.

I can usually finish work at six.

Agora introduza uma ideia importante: hábitos do passado que não acontecem mais.

Estrutura

Subject + used to + base verb

12. Used to × Present Simple

Compare:

I used to play football.
Eu costumava jogar futebol.

Isso significa que eu jogava futebol no passado, mas provavelmente não jogo mais.

Agora:

Isso indica um hábito atual.

I used to live in São Paulo.

13. Used to — Negative

Para a forma negativa:

didn't use to + verb

Observe que usamos use, e não used, depois de didn't.

I didn't use to like coffee.
Eu não costumava gostar de café.

She didn't use to exercise.
Ela não costumava fazer exercícios.

We didn't use to watch many movies.
Nós não costumávamos assistir a muitos filmes.

At night, I have dinner and usually go to bed around eleven. I don't normally stay up very late because I like getting enough sleep.

Main objective

O objetivo da Aula 2 não é apenas fazer o aluno decorar vocabulário de rotina. O objetivo é que ele consiga descrever sua vida cotidiana, explicar com que frequência realiza diferentes atividades e comparar seus hábitos atuais com os hábitos que tinha no passado.

A progressão em relação à Aula 1 fica assim:
